Looking at Paint

For our paint element, we are still looking at what types of paint to use. We have two options, Liquid paint or Powder paint. Both have advantages and disadvantages so our decision will be based on what we prefer and which is better for us to use. Below is a mood board I have created displaying images of both liquid and powder paint.

LIQUID PAINT

Liquid paint is incredibly messy to clean up but does create an astonishing effect. The Slow Mo Guys use a 4k Super Slow Motion Camera to capture all their experiments on their channel. With 8,964,978 Subscribers and overall 1,102,234,893 Views, they have achieved a large fan base. Here is their Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/theslowmoguys

Below is a video The Slow Mo Guys created only last year of two balloons, one filled with Blue paint and the other with Red paint, hitting each other and exploding in slow motion.

POWDER PAINT

Powder paint has been used in several music videos already, it is easy and simple to use but very effectual. In slow Motion, it creates an explosion of colours. Below is a video the Slow Motion Guys created of an experiment of powder paint on a drum:

Below are also two Music videos which have used Powder paint, the top one is Ke$ha's 2010 song 'Take It Off' and the one below is a past Hurtwood Music Video created in 2014, titled 'You Really Got Me'

Using either paint source is going to be messy, so we also need to research into making the studio completely spill proof. This video below shows how one project managed to achieve it.
