Creating The Animatic Storyboard
For the construction of our Animatic Storyboard we used Final Cut Pro X, a Mac Editing Software. With our already Photoshopped images we uploaded them one by one into the software and treated them as video files once they were on the timeline. We created the animatic like we would with our final Music Video edit, editing to the tempo of our song 'You Know You Like It' -Tchami Remix.
From creating our Animatic, we were actually able to have a brief insight into how we could possibly edit our video, seeing different images to represent different elements being cut together repeatedly actually helped me personally to begin picturing the final product in even more detail than before, even with the simplicity of the Animatic.
We also experimented with an effect known as 'Ken Burns'. As we obviously did not have any camera movements within our jpeg's, we programmed some camera like movements using the Ken Burns, this substitute also helped us envision some of the camera angles we may want to include. We also experimented with some video transitions for e.g. fades and wipes.
Below I have attached a Youtube tutorial I found on Ken Burns:
Overall the Animatic has been a great success it has given us a great insight and also will hopefully help us to alter details and improve on them as we have now had a visual taster.
