Shot Lists

What Is A Shot List?

A Shot List is a full log of all the shots you want to include in your film, not necessarily in the order of the story. This list may include the scene number, the location of where the scene is being shot, a description of the scene, the length of a scene, a list of actors who will be involved in the scene, and, notes of what will be needed or required for a particular scene being shot.

Why Do We Use Them?

During the filming process on Set a Shot List is one of the most important aspects in organising and preparing for the day. The word documented Shot List makes it easy for everyone involved in the production team to keep on track and focused throughout filming from the director and cameraman to wardrobe and props.

How Can They Help?

By creating and using a Shot List on the day of our filming for our Thriller 'DAMMIA', it will massively help us with the structure of our day without wasting our time on tasks that could've easily been prepared prior to filming, for example: the order our shots are filmed in, essentially making the process a lot easier and with a good sense of direction and efficiency preparing
actors and crew quickly when filming.
