Similar Films

Gone Baby Gone, a 2007 film based of the novel by 'Mystic River', has a very similar concept to our opening sequence 'DAMMIA' as both their story-lines are based on a kidnapping. The production company's that were involved with the project were 'LivePlanet', 'Miramax' and 'Ladd Company', even though the film itself is more of a crime drama, mystery rather than thriller the similarity in topic could still make these three company's good to work with on our film.

One scene from the 2012 film' House at the End of the Street', starring Jennifer Lawrence, has some very similar ideas of disguising its victim in relation to our opening sequence. The whole film is about a mentally disabled brother dependant on his dead younger sister and so kidnaps girls who remind him of her, due to her bright defined sharp blue eyes and light natural blonde hair, and keeps them hostage beneath his deceased parents house. In one scene Elissa (Jennifer Lawrence) finds boxes of blue coloured contact lenses in his bin begins her suspicions that concludes with the discovery of Ryan, the brother, dressing up these kidnapped girls as younger than they actually are.  This is similar to our 'Thriller' and the idea of the sexual tension in the film is actually revealed as something quite innocent as affection for a sister as in this film or a daughter like in our opening sequence.

Here is the trailer:

The company, Relativity Media who produced this film, would be another good choice of institutions to make our film because of the similarity in concept to our opening sequence, as unlike the other film this is labelled as a 'Horror, Mystery Thriller' and might be better choice in company to use.
