Updated Initial Ideas Script

For my Initial Idea #4 I decided to create a script from the original Opening Sequence, updated following the feedback I received. This allowed me to practise writing a script to give me an advantage when we have to write the script for our official confirmed Opening Sequence:

The scene will begin with a man in an everyday but roughed-up suit

waking up, sitting on a chair in an empty interrogation room with the lights turned off.

We hear his harsh breathing and the movement of chains scratching

on the ground.

The lights suddenly flicker on and he looks around his surroundings and realises his leg is chained to the ground.

Pause

He gets of the chair, sits down on the ground to try and remove

his foot from the chains but fails after numerous attempts.

He slowly gets up.

Pause

And he starts calling for help.

“Hello?”

Silence

He then walks over cautiously to the one sided glass but gets held

back by the chain, but with a struggle still manages to lean into

the glass and looks in to it.

“Hello.... anyone.... hello”

It then switches to the other side of the interrogation glass

where we still see the man inside looking in.

We see nothing but around the waist level of two men and their

hands reaching into a pack of peanuts and one who is also holding

a coffee cup and takes a slurp out of it.

We then also see a man facing a wall with tape recorders and

different types of equipment.

One of the standing men clicks his fingers to him and he presses a

button and classical music begins to play directly inside of the interrogation room.

The man inside automatically reacts to it and starts wandering

around the room.

(yells) “HELP’ etc

The music continues to get louder shown by the sound guy pushing

up the volume.

The man suddenly becomes angry to calling out for help.

He flips the table over and walks over to the wall and punches

three times into it.

With dripping bloody fist he runs directly up to the glass again

and bangs both fists onto the glass

Pause

The man is now sitting in the corner of the room humming along to

the music, red eyed with his fists shaking.

A folder is slid under the door and the music is suddenly muted.

He walks over and picks it up and then opens the file discovering

inside 3 pictures of the old man's corpse and a picture of the

police officer accused of murder with his mugshot attached.

The door lock unlock.

He drops the file

The handle turns.

He steps back and it begins to creak open. 

Blackout

We hear footsteps and the shutting of the door.
